With the digital age in full progression, most companies with few exceptions must grapple with the new threats and opportunities afforded by digital technologies. Leaving this to an IT functional silo is woefully inadequate. Instead, companies would do well to bring technologists to their center and reimagine how their business domain maps onto the radically expanding digital ecosystem. It is no exaggeration that this process may cripple present-day business giants while producing new winners.
